Jill DeMarte, bride elect of Richard Bosko of Pittsfield, was honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower and buffet luncheon at the Pittsfield Community Center. Forty-four guests from Greensburg, Ravenna, Warren, Erie, Sugar Grove, Corry and Pittsfield attended. The event featured games and prizes with Mrs Betty Sebring winning a special award. decorations followed wedding theme colors. The couple will exchange nuptial vows on October at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Corry.
Janet Cmiel-John Nuhfer exchanged nuptial vows August 30 at St Elizabeths Church with Msgr Glynn officiating. Miss Cmiel, daughter of Mrs Marian Cmiel and Francis Chiel, and John Nuhfer, son of Mr and Mrs Norman Nuhfer, were married before 150 guests. Reception at Elks Lodge followed, with music by Ron Slomski. The couple will reside in Barberton Ohio after a Maine honeymoon.
Catholic Daughters of America court conception No 95 held the season’s first meeting at St Elizabeth Parish Center with a tureen dinner. Clergy including Rev Cyril Cooper Rev Carl Lippert and Rev John Lucas spoke or performed, as regent Mrs Andrew Doyle led routine business. Members discussed a WD trip, traveling basket search, and an Erie Diocesan meeting planned for Sept 27 at St Elizabeth’s Smethport.
