Nelson Dimimtek produced postcards and prints capturing the teams and officials. The report notes the new Corry City Teague park, thriving finances, and a fully equipped diamond with grandstand and fencing.
Jamestown reports the death in Dannemora State Prison of Squire Tankard serving a life term for the murder of Mrs. Beaumont at Dritt Won in 1890s. Dr. G H North notes epileptic seizures worsened, and Tankard was found dead in bed on the 14th after a severe seizure, mouth filled with tobacco, pillow.
The 1899 case details Tankard's conviction for murdering his wife aboard Ulster and the subsequent self inflicted gunshot wound. After fleeing he was found near Gerry at Major Shepardson's barn, exhausted from blood loss and captured the next morning.

About seventy workers at Phoenix Furniture walked out last Saturday over a half day off each week and a nine and a half hour day. They demanded continued half holiday and reduced daily hours, while management under Newmaker insisted on regular ten hours and no deduction. Seven returned to work, but the rest quit.

Risburg Sept 16 The Pennsylvania Water Supply commission asked Attorney General John C Bell to decide if Pennsylvania can acquire land in Ohio to build and operate part of a proposed Pyma swamp reservoir The commission has 100000 for initial work Engineers will survey the swamp area sound the waterside near the site and estimate costs by section to present a plan for future legislative action The cost will be spread over several years as work proceeds
The Derrick reports that Oil City may forfeit a state armory site due to delays. Col. G. Mekards, commander of the Sixteenth Regiment and armory board member, notes a $30,000 appropriation exists if a site is provided. Persistent pledges exist, but no action has occurred for weeks. If no site is offered by mid October, Oil City cannot obtain the building.
