$158 Million Wage Package For Rail Workers Approved
A White House wage board ordered a two year $158 million package for about 197,000 shopcraft workers. The plan raises base pay by 1 percent plus 20 cents an hour in extra skill pay for roughly 100,000 workers and becomes mandatory in 30 days unless a voluntary agreement is reached.
