A youth, about a year old, lies in fair condition at Corry Memorial Hospital after a car struck a one lane bridge on Route 89 near Blein Spartansborg yesterday at 6 p.m. Trooper Walter Krupa said Gary Lee Berlehner failed to stop on wet pavement and became entangled in the bridge. Roy Sorenson, who had just crossed the bridge, turned back to aid and rushed the injured youth to hospital.

Crash on Route 89 injures four near Beaver Dam
Four people were injured when two cars collided north of Beaver Dam on Route 89 shortly after noon yesterday. Total damage estimated at 52,000. Injured were Oscar Huth Griffith Indiana and wife, Chirence Neiner Crown Veins Indiana and husband, plus John Mountain of 41 East Church Street. Mountain said he tried to pass a truck, swerved, then struck the other auto, troopers said potential charges are pending.
