On October 2 the pulpit of First Baptist Church of Corry will be filled by Rev. Robert J. DeBoer of Buffalo. The church has been hearing candidates since Rev. Francis G. Whiteman departed last winter to Hedstrom Memorial Baptist Church of Buffalo. DeBoer, born in Chicago February 16 1911, attended Practical Bible Training School and was ordained by Five Mile Baptist Church. He has led four pastorates in Monument Pa Olean Sapleton and Buffalo and leaves the Goppel Center Church of Buffalo. Mrs DeBoer a Practical Bible grad and the couple with sons William 18 and Robert John Jr 11 will occupy the parsonage on South Center Street.
