Paving Conference Prepares Cleveland Officials and Engineers
Great preparations are underway for a brick paving conference in Cleveland drawing 500 city engineers and road experts from across the nation. State and county highway departments join the Cleveland bureau of engineering for two days of seminars on durable paving methods. A grand tour by automobile will showcase the city’s long lasting brick streets, some laid 19 years ago at no maintenance cost. The event, September 17 and 18, is under the National Paving Brick Manufacturers Association, with civil engineers from major cities expected.
