Night Blooming Cereus Stuns Sparta Home Visitors
Neighbors gathered at Mr and Mrs O M Thompsons Sparta home to witness two night blooming cereus blossoms. The pure white flowers unfolded in the evening and formed a scene depicting the Christ child with wise men, a star rising as it opened. The bloom lasts two to three years. The Thompsons have owned the plant 14 years and visitors praised the sight.
