Washington reports unveil a German diplomat's letter to the Imperial Chancellor detailing Swedish Charge Cronholm and diplomat Von Eckhardt. The missive names Wal Tolke Cronholm and Jotter as intermediaries, cites an Order of the Crown reward, and ties Sweden’s envoy to German aims in the Americas. The Jotter note, dated March 8, 1916, circulated with U.S. disclosure. The Swedish minister Cronholm reportedly faced dismissal, while a separate fruit of the Windeland company trip to Jamestown was slated for the same day’s appearance.
Stockholm September 14 United Frew reports First Secretary of Sweden’s Foreign Office, Bule WWih-Cacuy Worlaf, was dismissed from his post following revolations by the American government on Sweden's duptioly. The cabinet will appoint a replacement. no further details or notes were provided on the Civilinal of the Foreign Secretary.
The annual Corry Elks bake day drew visitors from nearby lodges and towns. Weather was ideal as the Corry and visiting members enjoyed music, games, and hearty camaraderie on North Century Street. Organizers led by Capt LW, with many committee members, coordinated the event and set up tables, booths, and activities for all attendees.

Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Monday at St Thomas Church. Mrs Roy Tuttle traveled to Spartanburg to visit relatives.
