Two North Versailles township officers Lieut. Glenn L. Wyant and Patrolman James W. C were charged with manslaughter in the fatal Aug. 22 shooting of 69 year old Andrew Rosevink as he stood in front of his home. A coroner jury recommenced the charges after hearing testimony.
Coroner William D. Mc Cleland released Goode and Wyant on $5,000 bonds as district attorney reviews the Roseville shooting case. Wyant testified he fired four shots at his Roseville location, setting the scene for ongoing legal action.
A man was attacked with an axe injuring his finger belt and leg as Mrs. Larg Hartig, a neighbor, testified to the jury.
Roseviti refused to admit swinging the axe near the officer. She testified that Mr Rosevitik was distant from the policeman and would not have struck him even if he had swung.
