Two Philadelphia lawmakers faces bribery charges over Temple admission
A Philadelphia grand jury urged criminal prosecution of state Sen. Francis Lynch and state Rep. Stephen Wojdak for allegedly soliciting a $15,000 payoff to influence Temple University medical school admission for student John Scott. Eight charges were recommended for each, including bribery and conspiracy. The pair reportedly sought to delay an acceptance letter to pressure the donor, but did not assist the admission.
