Local teen Marcia Hanks dies at Jamestown Business College dorm
Marcia Lynn Hanks 18 daughter of Mr and Mrs C Douglas Hanks of 346 York Street died suddenly early this morning in the Jamestown Business College women's dormitory where she was a first year student. Bracken Funeral Home in charge of arrangements to be announced tomorrow.

Cities Must Pool Sites For Garbage
A state Health Department official warned small towns they must join forces to dispose of garbage. Wesley E. Gilbertson told delegates at the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Conference that many municipalities struggle to find acceptable disposal sites as solid waste generation rises. Bud Collyer, TV Radio Star, Dies at 61 in Greenwich
Bud Collyer, veteran radio and television performer, died Monday in Greenwich Hospital at 61. Known as master of ceremonies on To Tell the Truth and Beat the Clock, he also voiced Superman on radio from 1938 to 1992 and appeared in Cavalcade of America and other programs. Born Clayton Heermance, he left law toward broadcasting after graduating from Fordham University Law School.
