London dispatch says Hitler ordered a full reorganization of Germanys war production. Albert Speer, minister for armament and production, is placed in charge of all Nazi war production with expanded powers. Dr Walther Funk assumes economic policy, civilian supply, currency, foreign trade, and financing for Germany and occupied territories.
Erie Pa September report of a plane crash during an air raid demonstration. Lieut Dayton Davis age 38 and observer Fred Stretsel age 32, both Clevelanders and members of Lake County DAP unit Willoughby, died. The collision involved a two-seat Cub plane piloted by Davis with Lucas Gunn observers from Cleveland. in emergency a land landing at 12th street, near a Victory garden. Sheriff Lamberton ordered an inquest.
