Palestinians End Embassy Siege After Freeing Women
A five man Palestinian group calling themselves idealists freed four women under a bargain with French authorities after a 27 hour siege at an embassy in Paris. They then fled with six hostages and 12 crew aboard a Syrian Airlines jet, heading toward Baghdad with a stop in an Arab capital. The Iraqi ambassador was released as well. No one was hurt in the exchange and the captors claimed they were idealists not terrorists.
