Area Wells Test Process on Oil District
Experiments will be conducted on 25 oil wells in the Pleasantville district to test laboratory developed methods for controlling corrosion in producing operations under air gas secondary recovery. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil Association, with cooperation from nine leases. Battelle Memorial Institute previously advised zinc chromate and Calgon as corrosion protectants, and rust preventive coating may offer temporary benefits when wells are pulled.
