In a separate incident, Andrew Paulson survived a dangerous electric shock when a fallen union wire contacted a live line while he was visiting his grandparents on Liberty Street. Mrs. Jensen and the Paulsons aided the victims before emergency crews arrived. Spencer faced a severe skull fracture and was hospitalized with uncertain recovery.
A noon Monday thunderstorm bolt struck Mrs Louisy Anton’s Seventh Avenue home in Corry. The lightning ripped plaster, damaged brickwork, and splintered shelving but caused no fire or serious injuries though neighbors felt numbness briefly.
A severe thunderstorm struck near Clymer injuring Alaris Watrous barn with hay grain and 40 chickens lost.
