Ike’s veto test on pork barrel bill in House
Washington AP report on President Eisenhower facing a veto override vote as House Democrats claim they have the votes to defeat the $1.215 billion pork barrel appropriations bill funding hundreds of public works projects nationwide mainly river and harbor flood control. Four Hurt One Critical In $3 600 Crash
