Drowning of girl ruled accidental by coroner
A six year old girl, Constance Mortis of Mount Lebanon, drowned at a suburban pool. A coroner's jury ruled the drowning accidental. Barbara Hartwig, a teen age pool counselor, received a reprimand for neglect and allowing horseplay near younger children. Witnesses testified she warned Constance about deep water.
