Doctors May Aid In Murder Case
Manville September 2 A request to appoint two psychiatrists to examine Hugh Prity Gronberg 44 Jamestown charged with first degree murder was delayed pending District Attorney Edwin G. O Connor review of payment legality. Defense attorney Ernest D. Leet urged the order for Dr Edward A. Sharp 81 Linwood Ave Buffalo and Dr E H Crawfis Cleveland State Hospital to assist counsel. The DA questioned Dr Crawfis residency and payment terms and asked the motion be held in abeyance while he investigates.

Seaplane and Lake Officials Meet With CAA Expert
Seaplane operators airport operators and Chautauqua Lake boating officials will meet at Hotel Jamestown with T M Wayave head of the Seaplane Faculty Division to discuss a CAA approved program for combined aircraft boat operation. Nelson Chindgren and Almggren announced the session after Wayave’s preliminary survey and brief talks on proposed regulations to protect safety and rights of both fliers and boaters.

Thompson Air Race Crashes Highlight Weekend Event
Four crashes marred the Thompson air race weekend. William Brennand of Oshkosh won the Goodyear trophy for midget planes with $8,500, averaging 165.8 mph on a 12.214 mile course. Lt. Col. Robert L. Pett of Ventura flew a P-80 Shooting Star to 500.7 mph over 154 miles in a jet division.
