City Commission approves large paying estimates and street work

Wilson Delivers War Tax Message from Washington

President Wilson signed a bill creating a government war insurance bureau for American shipping and plans to address Congress in person to explain a war tax measure. Concord Township Strikes 13000 Dollar RR Deal

Pennsylvania Railroad completes a 13000 dollar agreement with Concord Township to gain free grade crossing eliminations west of the city. The township closes three roads and residents on affected roads receive payments from six hundred to two hundred dollars as the railroad upgrades routes and installs safety features. Final contract signing expected this afternoon after meetings in Erie with Kincaid & Kincaid and C. I. Baker.
