Conductor Saves Man From Burning Train Crossing Tragedy
Jamestown Sept. Prank Ay Awanson conductor of a southbound Chantangin Traction car saved a man from a burning dwelling near Luterom when a fire started in a upstairs off ramp. The fire threatened the car and Bates helped extinguish it. A separate accident near Bradford Pa involved Mr and Mrs Koesler killed after being struck by a northbound freight while walking on rail trucks. Coroner Sherman reported Mrs Koesler aged 49 left two children and a husband.
