Erie Youth, 17, Shoots Self in Foot Hunting Accident
Erie youth Fred J. Geollner, 17, is recovering at St. Vincent Hospital from a self-inflicted 20 gauge gunshot wound to the right foot while groundhog hunting near Girard yesterday afternoon. State Police reported the shot was accidental as the gun discharged when a shell struck the trigger. Geollner was aided at the scene by Dr. Richard Rahner then transported by companions. The mishap occurred near the Divine Word Seminary in Girard Township around 2 p m. He hunted with Michiel Yo chm, 17, and Richard Willants under Cy Everitt's direction.

Charge Truck Driver In Triple Fatal Crash
