Corry Girl Graduates from University of Pennsylvania Training School
Miss Verna Anders, daughter of Mr and Mrs Abert Andersort of 25 Grove Street, completed a three year training course at the University of Pennsylvania training school for nurses in Philadelphia. She is expected home tomorrow for an indefinite period. The class, among the largest ever graduated from the U of P training school, includes nearly a hundred. Commencement exercises will be held late November. Her three years and two months of training earned high commendation from hospital officials. She has had several opportunities across the eastern states, which she has declined. As treasurer and business manager of the Year Book Staff she earned much credit and the class Year Book was a success. Miss Anderson is also a member of the American Red Cross Society, having served three months as visiting nurse in the slums of Philadelphia.
