War Vet in Critical Condition After Self Inflicted Wound
Percy Fehlman, 38, of Pittsfield, is in critical condition at Warren General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police say the wound was self-inflicted during a despondent episode after an alcohol-related incident. Fehlman, a World War II veteran with 80 percent disability, was found by his brother Lyle in his room with a nearby 22 caliber rifle. an ambulance transported him to the hospital.

Erie Court Records Show $12500 Damage Suit Filed
A $12500 damage suit was filed in Erie County Circuit Court on behalf of nine year old Donald Kraft and his father Ott Kraft of Erie. The defendants include Gerhard Citron of Cleveland. The complaint alleges Citron’s car collided with an auto driven by Lawrence Do Poltz at 11th and Holland streets, causing serious injuries to Donald Kraft and expenses for his father.
