Fire destroys Corry Brick and Tile plant at Brick Yard

A long deserted Corry Brick and Tile Company building burned yesterday afternoon, totally destroyed. Firemen fought the blaze for about three hours to prevent spread to nearby fields and woods. no workers or equipment remained, and origin remains undetermined though suspected arson or accident.

Young lad burned by scalding water injury

Lawrence Proper, aged 2, son of Mr and Mrs Clitard Proper of 1927 West Pleasant Street, suffered severe burns last evening when a bucket of hot water he was carrying spilled on him. He was burned on the left side of the face neck arm chest and leg and is listed in good condition by the hospital. Dr Kibler treated the lad.
