Mrs Anna Cogswell, a former Corry resident, died at her New Brighton home Tuesday evening. She is survived by husband Joseph Te. Cogswell, two daughters Maude Leighton Sebring Ohio Alyssa Frauer New Brighton, one sister Blanch Fuller Enid Oklahoma City, and fourteen grandchildren. Funeral and burial in New Brighton Friday. She was mother of the late Wallace Cogswell of Corry. Separately Mrs Marvin Weed, a Spring Creek Road resident near Titusville, collapsed and died en route to Henderson School for a Halloween party.
Members of the Opportunity club and their families gathered at a Presbyterian church gym for a Halloween party. More than fifty guests attended in masks and costumes, enjoying an elaborate tureen dinner, seasonal decorations, and entertaining games led by Mrs. Claude Place, Mrs. Harold Paterson, Mrs. Harry Spicer, and Mrs. Leon Lindsley. V. L. Kovalecki travels to Pittsburgh for business.
The United Brethren Ladies Aid completed plans for a Halloween party at Mrs. Hubert Bush home. The all day session included a tureen dinner for forty. A pancake supper was set for next Wednesday in the church dining room with Leon VanTassel as kitchen chair and Elbert Busan in charge of dining room. Proceeds will go to the church treasury. Harry Macharis left for a visit to Oleas N. and relatives.
