The ceremony featured candles Chrysanthemums and lace details with a reception for 200 at the Sheraton Inn Edinboro. The couple will reside in West Mifflin after a Nassau Paradise Island honeymoon.

Members and guests of the Corry Bridge Association hosted a four and a half table Howell session at the Corry Motor Inn. A vintage recipe for a chilled custard mold called Spanish cream. Ingredients include gelatin sugar salt cinnamon egg yolks milk fruit rum or sherry, confectioners sugar, egg whites, and heavy cream. The method instructs heating the custard, marinating fruit, cooling, folding in whipped cream and egg whites, then chilling in a mold to serve.
Sparkettes Host Halloween Party at Stewart toad home
Sparkettes marching group held a Halloween party at Mrs. Mary Berkhous home in Stewart toad Corry RD 1. Fifty three children attended and awards went to Wendy Hiner for most original Susie Owers for ugliest and Kristi Hiner for prettiest. A pumpkin guessing game was won by June Aldrich Tina Barbalaci and St Owens. Betty Pate and Kristi Hiner won pin the tail on the witch. Hostess and Sparkette Mothers were thanked for assistance and donations. Educational predictions note a shift in college attendance with graduates less likely to enroll over time.
