Registrations for adult education at Youngsville were planned again this evening to meet minimum enrollments in several courses. The supervising principal of Brokenatraw Valleydotut Schools said enrollments were not sufficient to justify offering all courses.
Meadville police purchased an Alcometer to test drivers suspected of intoxication and involved in accidents. If proven satisfactory, the device will be secured for Titusville. William E. Barrow, former banker and Joy Mfg. Co. executive, died in Franklin Hospital after stomach ulcer surgery. Pre trial hearing set in Erie federal court over Hotel Carver fire with Ohio families as plaintiffs. jury trial expected after November term.
Peter J Oppewsll aged 60 and Erna E Knapp aged 52 from Corry filed a marriage license at Erie County Court House. Stockholders of Pickle gas well involved in a five year legal battle received a court ruling allocating sums from a $9.57 million award. The largest payoff goes to a shareholder with about $21,603 from a $3,400 investment.
A sandwashing shed belonging to Grove City Sand and Gravel Co. was destroyed by a fire early today two miles north of Slippery Rock. Owner Harry W. Cooper estimates damage at 20000 dollars. Firemen say a wiring short circuit caused the blaze in the one story frame building. In a separate report, Charles Is Blair, 29, of Forestville, was killed in South Dayton New York when his truck collided with an Erie Railroad freight train at a grade crossing.

John O Day a part time janitor confessed last night to burglarizing Times Square Bowling Alleys stealing several hundred dollars. He said he entrusted the loot to his uncle Carl Geisler and a third man Johnnie Jacobs who later vanished. Jacobs was hospitalized after a heart condition. Detectives estimate about 1900 in coins was taken from a pin ball cigarette and salt drink machine with evidence suggesting a larger sum in the haul.
Police describe a burglary near a recreation center where a drink machine was tampered with. Witness O Day, unable to read, and alley manager Griffin pointed out the machine about 25 feet away. Officers say the distance hindered identification of the tampering.
