Judge imposes 611 years on 17 defendants in Mayville case
County Judge Hugh V. N. Bodine has sentenced 17 of 39 defendants since September 13 to total 611 years. Among those jailed are 11 repeat felons with sentences ranging from five to 18 years to life. Several other defendants received terms up to five years or were given suspended sentences totaling 244 years, with 13 placed on probation and six under probation supervision totaling 14 years.
