Barcelona Man Fatally Burned In Westfield Incident
Frank Grant age 76, lifelong Barcelona resident and former fisherman, died at Westfield Memorial Hospital after 75 percent of his body was burned when his clothing caught fire while reaching across a gas range for coffee. Coroner Dr. Samuel Path ruled accidental death. Westfield police and emergency units responded, a smoldering blanket was removed from the victim, and the house suffered no fire damage.
