Glavis Rites Held for Steady North Tonawanda Resident
Steve Glavis, longtime Spartansburg resident, died yesterday at De Graf Memorial Hospital in North Poawanda, N.Y. He was born January 24, 1889 in Yugoslavia and came to the United States in 1911, settling in Lackawanna, N.Y. He married Mary Elizabeth Ghermysr in 1911 and lived in several towns before moving to North Tonawanda in 1950. He leaves a wife and nine children, 12 grandchildren, and a wide circle of relatives. Friends may call at the Torey and Hays Funeral Home in Spartansburg, with service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Columbus, Pa. Rev. Paul Hritzky will officiate.
