A fugitive evades police in the Sparta area after a failed stop in Perry. Morisak is reportedly taken into custody elsewhere, while the escape leads authorities to search nearby routes and a raid at a residence in Clymer following a car theft at a location on Black Ash.

At Blooming Valley Guys Mills road a truck auto crash left Stanley Rothieyees of Guys Mills with extensive leg burns and a hand burn after he stepped on a fallen live wire. Mrs Rothioveen was taken to City hospital in good condition this morning.

Corry wartime rationing office will close on Monday with all work moving to Erie. The Erie office will handle all county rationing from Tuesday onward and residents must mail or direct applications there at 195 East 9th Street. Chief clerk Mrs. Lillian Powers notes only Miss Frances Ghalos will remain with the Erie headquarters.
