World powers press to avert crisis as ship boarded

A U S Navy team boarded the Russian chartered Lebanese freighter Maruela 180 miles northeast of Nassau to check for prohibited arms for Cuba. After a two hour search no weapons were found. cargo listed as trucks sulfur paper rolls and truck parts. The ship was allowed to proceed to Havana under escort, with all papers in order and a copy of the cargo manifest obtained.

Chamber expands holiday lighting appeal to fringe merchants

Reward Offered to Find Wife Killer in Adams County
