In Hanover Maryland a 14 year old boy was captured after two drive by shootings. Police said the suspect carried a 22 caliber pistol and a shotgun and fired at a group of youths injuring 15 year old Francis Bussey who was in critical condition at St Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. The force recovered the weapons and the suspect was taken into custody after fleeing the area.
Ten Protestant churches in the Cory area join the Union Reformation Sunday observance at First Presbyterian Church Sunday evening at 7 45 with Rev Samuel Ruiz Ph D Washington DC as guest speaker. Dr Dusit, a former Roman priest in South America, now aids Latin American students through International Students Inc and will also lead the Corry Evangelical United Brethren Church service Sunday morning. Reformation Sunday honors Luther's 1517 posting of his theses, observed by the local ministerial association for four years. Participating churches include First Presbyterian, First Methodist, St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran, Cory Evangelical United Brethren Church, First Assembly of God, Nazarene, Salvation Army, Spring Creek, Columbus and West Spring Creek churches. The Sunday evening service is open to all.
