Superstore Future Predicted At NAFC Meeting
A four member research team predicts by 1982 shopping will occur in a single superstore offering groceries gas, banking, fast food, personal care, apparel, lawn and garden, automotive supplies and more. Stores may be up to 200000 square feet with bank branches inside. The shift comes as profits decline and competition pushes toward larger, fewer outlets. Also Indiana University plans a wine basics course this fall with seven wines tasted per session. Students pay $10.
