School of the city will be closed all day Friday for the next session of the Teachers’ Institute. Dr Rowland will address the forum on silent walking and home family activities. The institute opens Friday at 0 o’clock and will continue through the afternoon with programs for teachers and parents.

The organization will comprise third class postmasters from northwestern Pennsylvania with officers elected yesterday.

Pittsburgh October 24 United Press report. Paul McDermott, an undertaker in Carnegie, is arrested again and charged with murder in the death of Thomas R. Abbott, a Ku Klux Transman. Abbott was killed August 25 during the Carnegie riots. The new charges arise from the widow Mrs Eirima Abbott and reopened probe prompted by special investigator W. Wh Proper of the Klar.
New York reports William Pord of Brooklyn, 29, held on an attempted death by own action case linked to the so called ars minder. He reportedly tried to end his life early today with no blade, injuring himself accidentally.
Bristol, Tenn, reports three to four inches of fresh snow today after a last night storm. The city lies under a chilly blanket while nearby mountains see about ten inches. Snow resumed after an eight hour pause, keeping residents alert.
