Beav er County Man Sentenced To Life For Wife Slaying
In Allegheny County, Donald Hubbard 35 was sentenced to life after being found guilty of murder in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife Leona 31 at her sister’s Moon Two home last April 3. Hubbard had pleaded guilty to a general murder charge.

Settlement Reaches $10 250 In Area Plane Crash Case
After a day of trial in Venango County Court a settlement was announced in a crash near Franklin in 1981. Jack B. Hickernell of Meadville was awarded 10 250 for leg and hand injuries. The action was against Youngstown Airways Inc. and involved Talon Inc. operators and four injured passengers. He testified the flight originated in Charlotte North Carolina on company business. The plane was operated under an agreement with Talon Inc. and rescue crews guided him from the wreckage through snow to a road and to State Police for help.
