Welch firm faces action over 1945 crash injuring driver

An explosion at the William Anderson Kendall service station on Bron Street caused a fire that burned in the greasing room for over an hour. Attendant Eugene Dendorfer of Kersey escaped by crawling from the greasing pit, covering his face with his hat. Damage is estimated around 1900 dollars.

Mrs. Mararet Caflisch of Union City Dies at 86
Mrs. Mararet Caflisch, 86, of Union City died Monday noon at Hamel t Hospital Erie after a hip fracture from a Sunday fall. Survived by son J Crawford Caflisch and grandsons Jake and Billy Caflisch. Also notes sale of two factory buildings and a warehouse by David S. Wright to the Sanitary Receiver Company for about 40 000, with the Receiver occupying them for over 25 years.
