The city plans a small storage building for street department equipment as part of next year’s permanent improvement program. Budget under $5,000 with salvaged materials, likely near the northside fire station, to protect apparatus from weather and improve city storage.
Salaman ca October report states Sam Pager, son of Mortimer, arrested Friday night in the fatal incident near Wesley. Pager, driver of the truck, confessed to Sheriff Frank Annis. He was arraigned before Justice Ernst at Dayton for leaving the scene without reporting. Pager waived examination and is held for the grand jury in 500 dollar bail.
Corry will forgo the usual Hallowe'en events with a state armory masquerade and a veterans of foreign wars sponsored big mask ball. Community plans hint at parades and other features, but no large town celebration is planned.
Spartansburg October notes recount visits from Abg J C Adams of Fredonia, Mrs. Charles Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Gea Me Davis, Mrs. L J Titus, Mr. Pfeiffer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ernie and Robert from Erie, and many others.
