Clarence T. Tart aged 46 of Rocky Grove died after an explosion incident at the Walloie Oil Works Friday. He and fellow worker Claude Nosley were cleaning a boiler when gas in the bottom ignited from an open torch. Tart suffered a nervous shock and spinal injuries. doctors expect no recovery.

Frankun resident William Ht Lawrd aged 70 was struck by a locomotive on pass Sage train No 77 near Kennordelt early Tuesday evening. He died at City Hospital two hours later.
