The Corry area United Fund drive has reached 41.7 percent of its 106700 dollar goal, with 44455 dollars collected or pledged. Drive chairman Wil Schuldt reports most categories under goal while special gifts exceed expectations at 140 percent with seven hundred dollars pledged. The downtown renewal exposed a shaky wall at Darndall's Family Shoe Store. The city issued bids and the low bid of 13,600 started the project. Upon completion the wall will belong to the city as part of the renewal effort.
