A prisoner at Attica who studied law in prison and sought to overturn a Chautauqua county verdict failed. Judge Hugh Bodine denied the motion to set aside the May 1999 first degree grand larceny conviction, noting it did not meet the test of truth and good faith. The defendant, Joseph Hector Tetreault also known as Robert Castle, argued fraud in his conviction for defrauding a widow by posing as a psycho analyst.
