Suit follows false arrest in Erie county plant case
A $10,000 damage suit for alleged false arrest was filed in Erie county court against American Cyanamid and Chemical Co. by George Green of Edinboro Road. He claims a watchman at the plant was arrested after thieves broke in and stole metal in October 1933. Green says two youths were later arrested, one naming him during questioning, leading to Green’s arrest and about a week in jail before the alderman discharged the case. The grand jury later threw out the action.
