McCormick and Lewis Address Enthusiastic Corry Meeting

Vance McCormick Democratic and Washington Party candidate for governor and William Draper Lewis spoke to a large, partisan but anti Penrose crowd at the Library Theater in Corry. Lewis argued Penroseism as government capture, praised Lewis’s withdrawal, and McCormick pledged to “clean house” on Capitol Hill after November 3. The tour continued to Spartansburg and Titusville with strong reception and a confident forecast of a big Corry vote in November.
