Evel Knievel rival plots canyon jump by 18 year old
Heidi Odette Scherzinger, 18, a Cinnaminson High School graduate and aspiring daredevil, shows a drawing of a rocket powered motorcycle she plans to use to jump the Snake River Canyon next year. Promoter Tim Shields says Knievel’s attempt was a rip off and offers Scherzinger a chance to perform. A separate Meadville crash left 13 year old Vincent O Day dead and his mother Patricia O Day badly hurt when a car struck their bicycle on Old Plank Road. Police said the bike had no lights or reflectors and the victims were thrown onto the car hood and windshield, the boy dying from a fractured skull.
