A 12 year old girl, Augusta Rust, died in a near Shenioll settlement fire that destroyed a house at midnight. Two younger siblings were seriously burned, and a fourth child escaped. The blaze traced to a kitchen stove spread rapidly, trapping Augusta in a window before neighbors and the coroner investigated. The tragedy prompted a coroner’s inquest and reported on the rapid house fire, with other children evacuated and the ruined dwelling incinerated.
Mrs W V Gregory long time Vrooman resident died at Covey hospital Monday at 12 40 pm after seven months illness. Born May 24 18n at Vrooman she was daughter of Honam and Eliza Conover. Survived by husband W V Gregory five children Garratt Edwit Christopher Pereival all of Vrooman plus Jone fib a student in Titusville. Also survived by brothers and sisters including Goaree Conover John Conover Jin mu Jones Kate McClintock Libble Morie all of Vrooman. Remains were taken to Vrooman for burial.
