Lucinda Boldt Enters School of Horsemanship
Miss Lucinda Boldt a Corry Area High School graduate has entered Meredith Manor School of Horsemanship in Waverly West Virginia majoring in English. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Boldt of Carter Hill Road RD 4 Corry. The Saddleites 4 H Club held an early season meeting at the Miller home in Columbus with officers elected for the coming year and a Halloween party planned for October 26 at the Asper cabin. A church wedding for Pamela Mongera and Paul F Adams was held at St Teresa’s Catholic Church Union City with a two week honeymoon to Washington DC and the surrounding area. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Paul Mongera Sr. Union City and Mr Adams is son of Mr and Mrs John B Adams Jr Corry. The ceremony featured a peau de soie gown with lace and a long veil. The reception served for 250 at the Union City Moose Lodge and guests traveled from several states. The couple will reside on RD 3 Corry. The bride is a 1973 Fort LeBoeuf graduate. the groom a 1967 Corry Area High School graduate employed at Raymond Division of Associated Spring Corp. The rehearsal party was hosted at Ken Wins Restaurant Wattsburg. Pre nuptial events were hosted by several families and the School of Missions theme World Hunger.

55th Wedding Anniversary for Victor and Alta Orn
Mr and Mrs Victor Alta Orn of 339 East Pleasant celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary today with five children Richard Corry Mary Anderson Union City Barbara Larain Maywood Ill Keith Corry and Nancy Marshall North Carolina plus 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Former Corry resident John Hollis King 94 has returned to the area living at Quiet Acres Nursing Home with grandniece Patricia Mallick and notes his ties to Corry history.
