Plan appeal of fair sales act debated in Harrisburg
United Press reports Attorney General Claude T. Reno and Arthur H. James awaited a conference on whether to appeal a State Superior Court ruling invalidating the 1947 fair sales act. The court held the act unconstitutional under due process and limits on its scope, affecting price controls on retail merchandise. The appeal question hinges on broader issues of legislating prices and the act's reach in combating cost inflation.
