Two local men discharged from Corry Hospital, H A Crutlis and George Fimiley, return home. Charles Bugbee admitted for ten day anteteat treatment now listed as improving. note mentions insurance tall and Rossbacher.
Natural gas ignited while John Dill 26 connected a pipe to a kitchen stove causing a Saturday fire at the home of Mrs. Mary Lukasik. $3,000 in damages reported by Fire Chief Charles D Smalenberger. Dill uninjured. Gas ignition unexplained. Chief also noted other ads and local notices.
Daily notices report deaths at St Vincent's Hospital, accidents including a bicycle collision near McKean, and multiple community events. Items reference Phillips Jewelry, Ye Olde Book Shoppe, local church groups, school activities, and holiday card orders.
North East fire officials delay body search for James Ruddy of Rochester N C after a barn fire at Meryl D Phillips Farm near North East. Ruddy 50 remained inside while three farm hands escaped. Attempts to rake embers failed to locate him. He was an itinerant farm worker.
