Police arrest suspected miner in Los Angeles Times dynamite case
Secret service agents seized miner George Wallace on suspicion of dynamiting the Los Angeles Times building. He is said to have knowledge of the inside of the blast and to have attempted to destroy letters about the plot. Wallace nearly collapsed when taken to the station, and investigators note coded language and warnings within letters. Officials say he will remain jailed while inquiries proceed.
