Wife Of Longest POW Seeks Divorce In California
Mrs. Yangee Alvarez filed for dissolution of her marriage to Lt. Everett Alvarez, the Navy flier held as a POW longer than any other in U.S. history. The couple, married two months before his Tonkin Gulf loss on Aug 15, 1964, faced separation publicly after records show the filing in July 1970.
